Master Iconographer, and Instructor for the Prosopon School of Iconology, Fr. Igumen Mefodii, from the Skete of St. Maximos the Confessor in Palmyra, VA, will return to lead our annual 6-day retreat from August 3-8, 2020.

Beginning and intermediate students will paint the sacred icon of the Holy Theotokos, Vladimir Virgin and Intermediate/Advanced students will do St. George and the Dragon. Both are in the Russian-Byzantine style of the 15-16c. using egg tempera, 23k gold leaf, on a wooden board with kovcheg.
